Clear information given on types of car and also very important to have the free cancellation feature so prices could be monitored and booking altered if prices came down. Miyazaki Airport is located a few minutes (approximately 3km's) south of Miyazaki city center, along the coast of the Hyuga-Nada Sea, in the beautiful country of Japan.

The airport has great facilities for its passengers including disabled toilets, a smoking room, nursery, coin lockers, cloak room, a shop, restaurant, cafe, a book store, drug store, information desk, book shop, post office, bank and an ATM.

Explore Miyazaki

To the south of the Airport is Mount Wanitsuka. If you love hiking and the out doors this is a brilliant place to drive to. Within Miyazaki itself is the Horikiri Pass with gorgeous sea views to take in. Visit the Aoshima Island, botanical gardens and Shrine, Miyazaki Museum of History and Culture, Heiwadai Park and the Miyazaki Zoo great for the family to enjoy.

Outside of the city center tourists should head north to visit Takachiho gorge exhibiting beautiful waterfalls and forests. Head west and travellers will reach the famous Kirishima Volcano, which is definitely worth seeing.

Transport

There are a number of ways to get to and from the airport. At the airport is the Miyazaki KÅ«kÅ train Line operating to and from the airport into Miyazaki city's central station.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
