La Aurora International Airport (GUA), located just six kilometres from the downtown Guatemala City, is the third busiest airport in Central America. Having undergone recent renovations and expansions, the La Aurora International Airport (GUA) is preparing for future increases in passenger traffic flow. The airport terminal handles both commercial airlines and budget airlines, such as American Airlines and Spirit Air. La Aurora International Airport (GUA) operates with two passenger terminals, and two concourses, the north terminal and central terminal.

There are a number of facilities located inside the terminal. A vast array of restaurants and shops can be located in both the open and secure areas of the terminal, including McDonald's, Subway, Pizza Hut and many more. There are also several information and reservation counters, a post office, monetary exchange, and car rental at La Aurora International Airport (GUA).
