What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

I phoned to change the

I phoned to change the time for pick up and return of the car. It was not a good experience. I was told I could not do it and encouraged to book an up grade. I wanted to change my booking and return by 4 hours from 10.00am to 2.oo pm. I was told it was not possible to change it. I was told a car would not be available. I said I would take the risk and ended up in cancelling my booking and then re booking on line. Not helpful. I almost did not use your site to re book.

Raitatea Island's airport, also known as Uturoa Airport, can be found on the northern coast of the island. This small domestic terminal offers flights to other French Polynesian Islands, including Bora Bora and Tahiti.

Within the airport, there are a number of shops, including a gift boutique, car hire and snack bar. Raiatea Visitors Bureau can also be found in the terminal. The Le Truck service operates from the airport and offers connections to the island's districts on a timetabled basis for a small fee. Taxis can also be found at Raiatea Island airport.

You may wish to book car hire for the duration of your stay at Raiatea Island from the airport. This will allow you to travel to your accommodation with ease and avoid any extra charges incurred by booking it through your hotel.

To arrange your car hire, you will need to provide the booking agent with credit card and two forms of identification. One must be your driving licence and many use their passport as a secondary form. If you hold a valid UK licence, you will need to provide both your photo card and its paper counterpart.

Raiatea Island can be easily explored in a car hire. Using the partially-paved road that travels in a circular path around the island, you can travel through valleys as well as flatlands, passing farms and plantations en route.

The island's principal town, Uturoa, is a short drive from the airport. It is home to a wharf, as well as a ferry port which provides sea connections to Tahaa. This sleepy village has a number of shops and restaurants, banking facilities and a post office. A tourist information centre is also based here.
