Driving
Parking is not a problem in Wabush and Labrador City as hotels provide spaces for their guests. The cities are quite small and easy to navigate, with their combined area only being around 33 square miles. Traffic is rarely a problem outside of common rush hours when locals head to the nearby mines to work. The Trans-Labrador Highway skirts Labrador City and is within minutes of Wabush Airport, making it easy to get in and out of the area to explore the magnificent surrounding landscapes.

The quickest and easiest way for arriving passengers to access the city is to self-drive. There is no public transportation at Wabush Airport, with taxis being the only other option available.
Trains
There are no train services at the airport though a taxi will take passengers from the airport to the Wabush Lake railway station or the Carol Lake railway station. Both of these stations are stops along the Quebec North Shore and Labrador Railway that connects western Labrador to northeast Quebec. This is operated by Tshiuetin Rail Transportation and the scenic journey from here to Quebec takes seven hours.
Taxis
Taxi companies at the airport include CJ Cabs and EZ Cabs, both of which can be found outside of the terminal building. Taxis run on a meter system, starting at around £2 and then charging per kilometres driven.

Buses
There are no local bus services at the airport. There is also no public transportation in Wabush or Labrador City as well as within western Labrador so a car hire is almost essential for touring around.
Terminals
Wabush Airport is a small airport that consists of just one terminal building. Flights travel between here and destinations throughout the rest of Newfoundland and Labrador as well as Quebec and New Brunswick. Those arriving from other destinations can do so via Montreal or Saint John’s.
Parking
There is a car park just opposite the passenger terminal building. Spaces are electrically-serviced and cost around £6 for 24 hours. Valet parking is also available and is around £19 for 24 hours.
