This is the third year

I phoned to change the

I phoned to change the time for pick up and return of the car. It was not a good experience. I was told I could not do it and encouraged to book an up grade. I wanted to change my booking and return by 4 hours from 10.00am to 2.oo pm. I was told it was not possible to change it. I was told a car would not be available. I said I would take the risk and ended up in cancelling my booking and then re booking on line. Not helpful. I almost did not use your site to re book.

Very good value for money

Very good value for money, the zero excess rental we took was unbelievable value and car we received from europcar was brand new and high spec. Thankyou. I will definitely use car rentals again.

We booked a Yaris or

We booked a Yaris or similar, but on arrival were allocated a larger Hyundai Accent which was too large for my wife to drive. ECCR at Hobart apparently have very few Yaris-sized cars. Fortunately we were going to be passing nearby a few days later so were able to substitute the Accent for a smaller Kia Rio for the rest of our trip, but Carrentals need to check more carefully what sort of cars are actually available - size does matter, and a bigger car than you've booked isn't necessarily acceptable to all customers.

Good range of vehicles available

Good range of vehicles available. The main problem was lack of information about the additional cost of a one-way hire. When you initially enter details of the desired hire, your website shows the same price as for returning to the same location. Only when you proceed with the actual booking does the additional one-way hire fee appear. This is seriously misleading.

Port Lincoln is nestled in Southern Australia right along the beautiful coastline at the southern tip of the Eyre Peninsula. The nearest major city is Adelaide which is well over 200 miles away and Port Lincoln has several car hire services available in the area.

The history of Port Lincoln goes back to the early part of the 19th Century when the area was explored by British Naval Explorers and settled fairly soon after. Port Lincoln has turned into a major port with major fisheries and canned goods coming in and out of the city. There is also a lot of lobster and oyster fishing in the area that provides a major source of income for the area.

Port Lincoln can be very difficult to access by car hire as it is over 400 miles from Adelaide as you have to drive mostly along the coastline making it a fairly difficult and long journey.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
