I phoned to change the

I phoned to change the time for pick up and return of the car. It was not a good experience. I was told I could not do it and encouraged to book an up grade. I wanted to change my booking and return by 4 hours from 10.00am to 2.oo pm. I was told it was not possible to change it. I was told a car would not be available. I said I would take the risk and ended up in cancelling my booking and then re booking on line. Not helpful. I almost did not use your site to re book.

We booked a Yaris or

We booked a Yaris or similar, but on arrival were allocated a larger Hyundai Accent which was too large for my wife to drive. ECCR at Hobart apparently have very few Yaris-sized cars. Fortunately we were going to be passing nearby a few days later so were able to substitute the Accent for a smaller Kia Rio for the rest of our trip, but Carrentals need to check more carefully what sort of cars are actually available - size does matter, and a bigger car than you've booked isn't necessarily acceptable to all customers.

Good range of vehicles available

Good range of vehicles available. The main problem was lack of information about the additional cost of a one-way hire. When you initially enter details of the desired hire, your website shows the same price as for returning to the same location. Only when you proceed with the actual booking does the additional one-way hire fee appear. This is seriously misleading.

Armidale is a university town in rural northern New South Wales (a state of Australia). Situated about halfway between Sydney (the capital of New South Wales) and Brisbane (the capital of another Australian state, Queensland) on the New England Highway, Armidale is home to the University of New England.

Armidale Airport is a short drive in your car hire from Armidale central business district . in fact only eight kilometres. Armidale Airport is the highest licensed airport in New South Wales at a height of 1084 metres. But Armidale is well serviced by train and coach, so get there however you can but get a car hire to see the sites while you.re there!

Close to Armidale is the town of Uralla, home to the 1860s bushranger Captain Thunderbolt. Although an outlaw, as with Ned Kelly in Glenrowan, the locals have adopted Thunderbolt . a.k.a. Fred Ward . as a bit of a larrikin hero. Formed originally as an outpost to the University of Sydney in 1938, the University of Armidale became a university in its own right in 1954.

The university is one of the town.s main employers, and is built around the old home of Booloominbah, which dates back to 1888. It is now home to the Vice Chancellor of the university, and several other administrative offices, as well as a restaurant. The Canadian architect John Hunt, who designed Booloominbah, also designed the Saint Peter.s Anglican Cathedral, making Armidale a cathedral city.

Grab your car hire and head to one of the shopping centres in Armidale, or the Mall, which was the first of its kind in regional Australia. Opened in 1973, it stretches for three blocks along Armidale.s main street, Beardy Street, named for the two founders of the town (who had beards). Notable musician and entertainer Peter Allen hailed from Armidale.

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.
