Better known as a busy port for ferries across the Irish sea, Fishguard is also a place of wild beauty and rich history.

Located on the west coast of Wales, Fishguard is close to the surrounding picturesque hills, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the River Guawn and coastal walks, all offering panoramic views.

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is a paradise for bird and animal watchers alike. Inland, footpaths lead across gently rolling hills, while closer to the coast they traverse along rugged cliffs and beaches, offering spectacular views of the area. The park is also steeped in ancient Celtic history, with burial chambers, standing stones and a reconstructed Iron Age settlement.

Being a busy throughpoint for travellers to Ireland, Fishguard offers many good restaurants and pubs for visitors to enjoy, as well as numerous craft shops and art galleries. Many find themselves killing time waiting for ferries and Fishguard offers a number of conveniences to meet most needs.

If you’d like to make a daytrip out of town, try your swing at the Priskilly Forest Golf Club, go horse riding at Maesgwynne Riding Stables, or visit the delightful Penlan-Uchaf Farm Gardens, only a short drive from Fishguard.

Along with the ferry port to Ireland, Fishguard offers excellent car, coach and rail links. Trains out of London Paddington station are timed to arrive in co-ordination with sailing times (duration six hours). Motorists can reach Fishguard on the A487 from North Wales or the A40 from South Pembrokeshire and Cardiff.

Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?
